This page contains papers from the scientific literature relevant to redwood silviculture. Redwood is unique in many ways, but for silviculture its most unique attributes are its high tolerance for shade, its pest resistance, and its ability to re-sprout from stumps.

 

 

Silviculture resources

These are a set of PDFs that have technical and anecdotal information on establishing and managing redwoods as a stand or as a component of a mixed species stand. These are generally more user friendly than the documents in the Primary Literature folder.
